Alibi is situated ground level of the Ovolo Hotel on the historic Fingerwharf of Wolloomooloo, Sydney. The task was to name, theme and create a brand system for bar that would attract both the guests of the hotel and locals to enjoy the unique space. With an influx of seafood restaurants nearby, and a health focussed trend growing across Australia we created Sydney’s first ever plant-themed hotel bar and restaurant, lead by chef Matthew Kenny.
The design system is a clashing of styles, taking influence from the old industrial shearing shed that still has presence in the hotel along with the new, contemporary bar and restaurant that now occupies the space.
